After a break in the regular season schedule over the long weekend, our girls continued to train over the long weekend leading into week 2 vs. Norwest on a "soggy" Sunday evening matchup. While the field conditions were not ideal, the girls came out flying and really started to gel as a team. We were faced with an equally strong Norwest team and battled back and forth for the full 40 minutes.
Player of the game honours went out to Decia Castelhano for her hard work and determination. Well deserved Decia!
Next up, after a training session on Wednesday, we are home to Dorchester FC on Saturday afternoon at 2pm at the Deerhaven Lower Field.
On Sunday, June 2 we are off to Ancaster to compete in the annual Ancaster Heritage Days Festival. Our first game will be at 9am vs. Paris FC followed by a 2pm game against the St. Catharines Jets!
