Coaches of U4-U5 Girls & Boys will require Active Start + MED + RiS + Making Headway in Soccer
Coaches of U6-U8 Girls & Boys will require FUNdamentals + MED + RiS + Making Headway in Soccer
Coaches of U9 - U12  Girls & Boys teams will require Learn to Train + MED + RiS + Making Headway in Soccer
Coaches of U13 teams and older will require Soccer For Life + MED + RiS + Making Headway in Soccer

MED is an in class course (required for District approval= trained).  An online evaluation after the in class course can be taken if your coach wants to be 'certified" which means they want to proceed with C License.
The recreational matrix also indicates that all coaches have the MED and RIS along with the age appropriate coach certificate.

Managers sitting on the bench will require Making Ethical Decisions and Respect in Sport (coaches are to follow OS Certification requirements)

Technical Directors (authorized to sign Fast Track Forms)

Technical Directors for clubs who wish to have players fast tracked will be required to be fully qualified or proof that they have signed up for the National B License Part 1 Certified (or equivalent) or the TD Diploma. 

IF not fully qualified as a TD, the “TD in progress” can only sign their particular club’s Fast Track Forms.

For Outdoor 2020 the TD will need to be fully qualified.

Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce the launch of the first Technical Director Diploma course presented in Canada. The course focuses on defining the Technical Director’s role and providing them with the necessary tools required to meet the demands of the position. The course addresses topics such as Player Development through the Talented Pathway, Management and Leadership styles, and Mentorship and many more. The course is delivered over five days straight and a 100% attendance is required. Candidates will be required to complete pre and post course assignments to complete the course.

Course Application Requirements:
Eligible candidates must obtain a minimum National B License Part 1 Certified (or equivalent), Make Ethical Decisions, Respect in Soccer, and Making Headway in Soccer.

The Locker not showing certificates?

PLEASE be advised that if I coach believes that they have taken a course and doesn't show up on THE LOCKER in coach.ca that they should email [email protected] with this information to see if they have two different NCCPs.

Various notes:

Starting in 2017 the former Senior Certification will no longer be valid for any coach. Please be advised that it is mandatory that all competitive coaches upgrade their certification to the Soccer For Life course.

The R.I.S. (Respect in Soccer) certificates must be upgraded every 5 years.
